1:1 Support Workers provide individual 1:1 support to a resident, for an agreed period of hours per week. This period can be spent supporting the resident to tidy his/her bedroom, attending appointments at health centres or hospitals, taking residents out to lunch, or to places where they will feel calm and relaxed, such as local parks, shopping for clothes or personal items or visiting the library.
Relief Support Workers work at each cottage when needed, to cover staff holidays and sickness. The position of Relief Support Worker is more suitable for staff who wish to have a lot of flexibility in the hours and days they work.
